Walking through town this Sunday with blue skies and sunshine; an explosion of crocuses and daffodils carpeting Brandon Hill, I thought that Spring had finally arrived. The tree branches may still have been bare, but it was balmy enough for me to enjoy a hot fudge sundae care of Vee Double Moo, who just happened to be parked near Cabot Tower.
Home baked chocolate chip brownie, vanilla soft whip, hot fudge sauce, whipped cream and flaked almonds with a cherry on top! What better way to sit back and watch the World go by?
Fast forward to Monday and, the car was covered by a carapace of hard frost; the thermometer read 1oC and a blue snowflake flashed and pinged beside it, warning for black ice. A false alarm then, with the cold set to stay a little while longer. So, hot chocolate with a shot of amaretto anyone?
